Overcoming organizational barriers to support governance of mixed health systems
Guidance for Implementation of WHO Strategy Report: Engaging the Private Health Service Delivery Sector Through Gov. in Mixed Health Systems
Jhpiego
In partnership with Jhpiego, we documented the experience of contraceptive implant introduction over the last decade and identified recommendations to scale-up implants in the private sector. These insights were developed into a suite of strategic products available here.
Marie Stopes Int.
We supported MSI Reproductive Choices’ investment review through a landscape of private provider engagement models. The resulting Strategic Insights Report will be taken forward into MSI strategy setting.
Ipas
We are supporting Ipas and partners to design interventions to better meet the contraceptive needs and preferences of women and girls who self-manage medication abortion outside of health facilities in Kenya and Pakistan by conducting Market Systems Development Plans (MSDP). The MSDP approach adopts the Keystone Design Framework which marries an understanding of the user with a clear grasp of the market systems.
World Health Organization
In close collaboration with the WHO, we host the Country Connector: a platform focused on supporting countries’ efforts to build resilient health systems and engagement with the private sector in health. We are operating a Support Desk to provide virtual assistance to countries to engage the private sector; maintains a clearing house of information to share real time country experiences with the private sector in health; and supports the operations of working groups and a Steering Committee of the Country Connector.
Population Services Int.
In partnership with the Evidence and Learning Working Group of the Self Care Trailblazer Group, we are co-creating a sexual and reproductive health measurement tool which will include a list of priority indicators and serve as a practical resource for policymakers and implementers to monitor and evaluate their own self-care programs. To inform the development of this tool, we facilitated an expert working group meeting and user consultations.
ThinkWell
We facilitated a strategy workshop for ThinkWell’s Strategic Purchasing for Primary Health Care (SP4PHC) project.
Gates Foundation
We are undertaking a scientific and global health literature review and knowledge product development around gonorrhea and chlamydia to inform BMGF’s strategy development for a portfolio on women’s health and sexually transmitted infections.
World Health Organization
We support the operations of WHO’s Global Network for Anti-corruption, Transparency, and Accountability (ACTA), through convening a Steering Committee, organizing and facilitating strategic meetings for the Network, and developing information products.
