EARN: Defining Sustainable Revenue Models
IHI is supporting FHS to explore and define sustainable revenue diversification models that strengthen financial resilience while remaining mission-aligned and feasible within the Malawian context. Through three phases: peer benchmarking and strategic learning, strategic options and business case development, and implementation planning and early piloting. IHI is helping FHS identify viable models, build an evidence-based business case, and co-create a practical plan to pilot the selected approach. This partnership will enable FHS to reduce donor dependence and advance long-term sustainability.

Strategy Development for Family Health Services
IHI supported Family Health Services (FHS), formerly Population Services Malawi, in developing a Strategic Plan as they transition from an international to a local organization. The plan included an overview of Malawi's health landscape, a financial analysis of domestic financing trends and out-of-pocket payments, and a review of FHS's operations, including strategy, structure, and programs. A SWOC analysis identified FHS's unique value proposition, positioning them to manage the health system effectively and achieve sustainable, locally-driven outcomes.
